Mati City opens one-stop shop for business permits

The city Government of Mati through the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) opens its yearly One-Stop Shop Program for business new applicants and renewals for the year 2012. Mr. Joel Capalit, BPLO Chief announced earlier that they officially opened the program last January 2 and will last until January 20, 2012. The 20-day business one-stop shop program aims to facilitate business operators to apply/renew their business permits and licenses. Capalit urged the business owners and taxpayers in Mati City to take advantage the program and further clarifies that after the scheduled deadline of one-stop shop, penalties will be added to the late filers. Important agencies and department from the barangay level, to the city and national agencies will be present and available during the 20-day conduct of business one-stop shop program for business operators. Business owners and operators are advised to bring the needed and important papers.

 

LGU Mati holds daily Dance Exercise at the Mati Park and Baywalk

Mati City Mayor Michelle N. Rabat ordered the city sports division of the city government of Mati to hold a regular dance exercise as part of the fitness program of the city government of Mati. This is also to liven up the inactive muscles of the body which could promote health, alertness and overall wellness of the participants. Dubbed as “Hataw Na! – Dance Exercise”, the dance exercise session is held everyday from Monday to Sunday at the Mati Park and Baywalk from 5:00 to 6:30 in the morning for free. Mayor Rabat believes that the conduct of regular exercise is a key in fighting diseases after she is alarmed by the rising number of victims caused by hypertension.

LGU-Mati identifies relocation site in Brgy. Mamali

Mati City Mayor Michelle N. Rabat and members of the City Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council (CDRRMC) conducted a site visit in barangay Mamali, this after the Mines & Geo-Sciences Bureau (MGB) identified barangay Mamali as landslide prone area and classified under high and very high susceptibility. The Mayor believes that there is a need to relocate the residents in the lowland area of Mamali and take the immediate and necessary actions before disasters in the area will take effect. Mayor Rabat clarifies to the barangay officials of barangay Mamali, that the city government of Mati has already identified a relocation site in the said barangay for the affected residents. But, negotiations are still going – on to the land owners.
