Two new ambulances arrived on Thursday, October 15, for the city’s Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Services.

The brand new Nissan Urvan medical ambulances will be assigned to the City Health Office for transporting of patients to medical facilities inside and outside of Mati City.

The new ambulances has overall dimensions (mm) 5.230 x 1.880 x 2.265. With seating capacity of 15. Engine type GD-FTV 4 cylinders in line type DOHC 16 valve.

The said ambulances amounted to P 5 million in total.

It’s Department of Health-accredited with Emergency Warning Light and Siren Public Address System. Tempered Glass Division (separating the driver to the body) and Air conditioning system with control.

The purchase of the two ambulances is inclusive of Comprehensive Insurance and LTO Registration.

Just recently, the City Council passed Resolution No. 236 establishing the Prehospital Emergency Medical Services (PEMS). The said resolution was sponsored by Councilors Rogelio Pabio and Cheeno Miguel Almario.

The PEMS will be under the Health Emergency Medical Services of the City Health Office.

PEMS aims at providing access to poor and indigent patients from the City of Mati to emergency and medical transport service.

The said resolution was signed and approved by City of Mati Mayor Michelle Nakpil Rabat on October 5, 2020. (CIO MATI)
