Documentation of possible diving sites in the City of Mati continues as divers from both the private and government sectors continue their search on its second week.

Participants of the 2nd week dive are from the City Mayor’s Office, City Environment and Natural Resources Office, City Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office, Philippine Coast Guard, Red Cross, Barangay Officials of Tamisan, and Stefan Mikhail A. Rabat of the private sector.

The activity was conducted on November 30 from 6:00 AM to 12:00 noon.

It was conducted in the two dive sites in Brgy. Tamisan particularly in Waniban Island and Tagaliling-TAMPAFAS Marine Protected Area.

The two dive sites are located at the Pujada Bay Protected Area Seascape and Landscape which was recently accepted as one of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World.

The objective of the activity was to locate areas having rich biodiversity specifically the Coral Reef Richness and Diversity thereby promoting tourism site and destination in the City of Mati. (CIO MATI)
