The City of Mati’s Incident Management Team has set up a 4-level health screening for travelers from Davao City who would go to Mati.

IMT commander Dr. Ben Hur Catbagan Jr. said that all travelers from Davao City and other areas with known local community transmission of Covid-19 would first undergo health screening at the Pintatagan border of Davao de Oro and Davao Oriental.

Once they pass thru the 1st level of health screening, they will again be subjected to the 2nd level of screening this time at the Tagamot border of San Isidro and Mati and at the Tagawisan checkpoint just before entering the poblacion area.

If still they pass thru the 2nd level, they will again be subjected to a 3rd screening upon arrival at the transport terminals.

The 4th level of health screening will be done at the barangay quarantine checkpoints just before they are allowed to their respective homes.

There will also be health screenings in public and private establishments as part of the health guidelines.

Travelers from Davao City will also be asked to sign an agreement for their mandatory 14-day quarantine where they will be strictly monitored for symptoms during their stay in Mati.

All travelers who would fail the health screenings will be immediately sent to the Alternate Care Site for swab testing and isolation.

The City of Mati’s IMT reiterates that it would welcome all Matinians who would want to return home but they must follow all the health guidelines in place to ensure that the community is protected from Covid-19.

It has been almost two months now that the City of Mati has been free from Covid-19 infection. (CIO MATI)
