The City of Mati LGU has rolled out several financial assistance to frontliners in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.

The City Council passed three resolutions pertaining to cash incentives and assistance for the frontliners — Resolutions Nos. 95, 96, and 97.

Resolution No. 95 provided P10,000 cash incentive per month to health workers serving in the alternate care site managed by the LGU for persons under investigations.

Resolution No. 96 meanwhile grants a “one time special risk allowance” to public health workers equivalent to 25% of their monthly basic salary.

Resolution No. 97 meanwhile grants hazard pay to frontliners namely barangay health workers, public safety, incident management team, Philippine Red Cross, CDRRMO regular plantilla personnel and job orders.

The hazard pay is P150/day for every personnel identified.

Two City Council resolutions also granted authority to City Mayor Michelle Nakpil Rabat to enter into a memorandum of agreement with two private facilities which would accommodate persons under monitoring.

Another City Council Resolution also appealed to water and power utility providers to give discounts to their low and middle income customers while the city is under community quarantine.

The resolution also appealed for a 5-month grace period for the suspension of penalties and other charges. (CIO MATI)
