The Department of Interior and Local Government(DILG) awarded a plaque of recognition to the City of Mati Local Government Unit (Mati LGU) during Monday’s flag raising ceremony, January, at the City Hall Grounds.

City Local Government Operations Officer Joseph Porgatorio awarded two plaques of recognition to City of Mati as 2018 Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance and Regional Winner of 2018 Presidential Award for Child-Friendly Municipalities and Cities.

The recognition was accepted by City of Mati Mayor Michelle Nakpil Rabat, Vice-Mayor Glenda Rabat-Gayta and the City Councilors.

The plaques were awarded by the Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Social Welfare and Development and Council for the Wefare of Children.

It was given on April 19, 2019 but was only handed over to the Mati LGU Monday.

The City of Mati passed the 2018 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit conducted by the above-mentioned national offices. (CIO MATI)
