The City Government of Mati, in cooperation with the DOSCST, offers this Community Fitness Program for all who desire supervision, direction, education, and camaraderie in their health and fitness efforts. Our vision is to help improve health and wellness by providing exercise opportunities for those who are physically out of shape or desiring more structure in their workout efforts. We aim to get you feeling better, stronger, and more energetic.

 

Business One Stop Shop opens in Mati City

Mati City (January, 2013) -- To encourage more investors in the city and to make the process easier and systematic, the City Government of Mati City opens this year’s Business One Stop Shop Program at the Pealez Activity Center, City Hall compound this city. The annual program started last January 4 and will culminate on January 20, 2013. The Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) will lead the 3 week one stop shop program. Mr Joel Capalit, BPLO Head, encouraged the businessmen in the city to either renew or start a new business to get a business permit. The BPLO set – up an all in – one desk for the very important local and national agencies, manned with personnel to provide necessary services to the clients.

CITY OF MATI UNVEILS SEAL OF EXCELLENCE AWARD

City of Mati (February 28, 2011) – The City Government of Mati has recently  unveiled the symbol of excellent service or the Seal of Excellence Award on February 28, 2011 at the City Hall Lobby, City of Mati.

The wall-mountable glass seal that bears with the Civil Service Seal of Excellence Award to the City Government of Mati was officialy unveiled by City Mayor Michelle Nakpil Rabat and CSC Regional Director Atty. Annabelle B. Rosell together with Ms. Minda G. Ostique, Chief Personnel Specialist – Human Resource Department, Civil Service Commission Region XI.

The award was the result of a nationwide Report Card Survey conducted by CSC regional office personnel.

Report Card Survey is an evaluation tool that provides a quantitative measure of actual public service user perceptions of the quality, efficiency and adequacy of different frontline services as well as a critical evaluation of the office or agency and its personnel.

The target respondents for the survey were individual clients who have availed of the frontline services of any frontline service of government agencies.

The survey was conducted in the premises of the agency immediately after availing frontline service. The survey included the quality of service provided to them, as well as the physical working condition of the agency.

“I really congratulates and commends the people of Mati or the employees of the City Government of Mati for taking this award. You really did a good a job as shown in the feedback of the report cards survey that we conducted  last year”, CSC Regional Director Rosell said during her speech.

“This is a testimony of our work. Happy employees do good service to the public, so happy employees means happy public", Mayor Rabat said in her speech.

“City or not we have delivered quality service to the public. The paying public which is our basic client”, she added.

LGU – Mati is second to the highest rating of the awardees next to the Provincial Government of Compostela Valley with 95.50 rating as excellent.  A Very Good rating of 87.15  went to City Government of Mati. Other awardees are, City Government of Tacurong of Sultan Kudarat with 85.10 – third place, City Government of Borongan, Eastern Samar with 83.86- fourth place, Municipal Government of Burauen, Leyte with 81.88- fifth place, and Provincial Government of Camarines Sur as – sixth place.

Aside from the glass seal, the awardees also received a cash prize or reward that shall be used for the purchase of equipment and/or other materials and services that will help further improve the delivery of its frontline services. The awarding ceremony was held last December 28, 2010 at the Grand Menzing Hotel, Davao City.

Also present during the unveiling ceremony  are the LGU – Mati employees & department heads, city councilors, Ms. Natividad Ongcay, OIC – Senior Personnel Specialist, Civil Service Commission, local Media, PNP and guests.
