The City Government of Mati, in cooperation with the DOSCST, offers this Community Fitness Program for all who desire supervision, direction, education, and camaraderie in their health and fitness efforts. Our vision is to help improve health and wellness by providing exercise opportunities for those who are physically out of shape or desiring more structure in their workout efforts. We aim to get you feeling better, stronger, and more energetic.

 

Business One Stop Shop opens in Mati City

Mati City (January, 2013) -- To encourage more investors in the city and to make the process easier and systematic, the City Government of Mati City opens this year’s Business One Stop Shop Program at the Pealez Activity Center, City Hall compound this city. The annual program started last January 4 and will culminate on January 20, 2013. The Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) will lead the 3 week one stop shop program. Mr Joel Capalit, BPLO Head, encouraged the businessmen in the city to either renew or start a new business to get a business permit. The BPLO set – up an all in – one desk for the very important local and national agencies, manned with personnel to provide necessary services to the clients.

7 BRGYS. OF THE CITY OF MATI RECEIVES 500 ARMCHAIRS

City of Mati – Pre-schoolers of the seven barangay recipients now sits comfortably to the 500  armchairs donated by  Mr. Louis Rabat, former President of the Davao Oriental Eastern Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Rotary Club of Mati East, in cooperation with the Local Government Unit of Mati.

City of Mati Mayor Michelle N. Rabat personally turned – over the armchairs last week to the delight and cheers of the children and parents, expressing profound gratitude to the valuable donation.

Barangay beneficiaries include barangay Don Enrique Lopez, Don Salvador Lopez, Don Martin Marundan, Buso, Mayo, Badas, and Sainz.

With the donation, the children will no longer be sharing chairs inside the classrooms but will have chairs of their own, as such, the scenario is expected to improve the quality of education through a convenient atmosphere conducive to faster learning.

Mati Mayor Rabat, in the simple turn- over ceremony, reiterated that education remains on top of her development agenda.

“We hope to produce good graduates that will shape the future of Mati,” she said.

Further, she stressed her direction of making Mati the center of education for the province of Davao Oriental.

“We can do more, if only we can have our IRA Internal Revenue Allotment as a component city. So, let us all pray for a favorable decision of the Supreme Court in the finality of our cityhood,” she explained.

The armchairs donation in one of the many projects of the city  government of Mati in consonance to the “Adopt a School Program” of the Department of Education.
